Here I am at six months old, in the front yard of our home in Chiang Kham, Thailand. I think I was crying because I didn't want my picture to be taken. I certainly have a stubborn look on my face. I don't have much hair here, but, later, it all grew out into thick curls. I looked a lot like Shirley Temple as a little girl--when I wasn't playing in the mud!
