This quilted hat is made from a Simplicity pattern that I bought almost 40 years ago and never used. Finally, I had a chance to use that pattern! It is made out of a flimsy, woven cottom plaid. I stablized the fabric by zig-zagging it heavily with rayon threads of different colors. I dislike using fusible stablizers on my fabric art pieces because these will degrade the fabric a few years down the line.
